SWAG视频 Me

I am an instructor in the School of Arts and Sciences here at the University of Mary. I have my master's degree in molecular genetics and have a background researching developmental genetics, cochlear development, FGF signaling pathways, and industry experience working on analytical chemistry and biophysical applications. I am currently completing a Master's in Counseling here at the University of Mary. Current academic interests include biological markers underlying psychological states and the biological mechanisms underlying different counseling approaches.

Why I鈥檓 At Mary

I am at Mary because I believe in the combination of and open dialogue between different and varied fields. Being at Mary allows me to interact with numerous professionals and understand how theology, philosophy, history, psychology, chemistry, and physics all inform my own biological interests and expertise and how that informs students and their future careers.

Expertise

I have my Masters in Molecular Genetics and Cell Biology from the University of Nebraska Medical Center where I spent three years studying signaling pathways involved in the development of mammalian cochleae. I have two years of experience working in the field of analytical chemistry and elemental biology utilizing laser systems to determine the composition of living and nonliving substances.
