SWAGƵ Me

I have been adjunct faculty in the nursing division at the University of Mary since 2013. In my role, I participate in the thesis and capstone courses in the nurse educator program — giving me the opportunity to learn from the students and their varied projects. I was drawn to work at the University of Mary because of its rich Benedictine tradition. The tradition is lived out as everyone at Mary has always been welcoming and supportive.

Why I’m At Mary

I am at Mary because of the mission and vision of the nursing department. Having been a faculty member in both state and religious-affiliated universities, I know that the latter aligns better with my philosophy of living and learning.

Expertise

My clinical background is in adult critical care nursing, which I also taught in both didactic and hospital settings. For the past fifteen years, my work has focused on ethics in nursing. I have been and remain a member of several professional national and state ethics committees.
