SWAG视频 Me

I joined the University of Mary in Fall 2024 as an Assistant Professor of Physics after obtaining a PhD in Physics from the University of Colorado Boulder. I am a theoretical physicist and am particularly interested in black holes, cosmology, quantum gravity, and other fundamental aspects of the Universe. I also have research interests in acoustics and enjoy continuing to play piano, organ, and harpsichord after obtaining a bachelor's degree in music.

Why I鈥檓 At Mary

My parents taught me that work involves a driven passion for service in community. My physics teachers taught me that work equals force times distance. I am privileged to be at an institution where both views have prime value.

Expertise

My research focuses on both classical and quantum aspects of gravity, with a particular interest in theoretical models of black hole interiors. I hope to understand what would happen if someone fell into a black hole as well as what observational signatures might present themselves near Earth from these extreme, astrophysical, quantum objects.
