In a thrilling Denny’s Slam Dunk Championship, Douglas started strong with a high-flying two-handed slam over IPFW’s Max Landis to advance to the semifinal round.

Douglas turned heads with his first of two semifinal round dunks; he nearly hit his head on the rim in his first leap.

After each of the remaining semifinal contestants missed their dunks, Douglas advanced to the finals after an impressive dunk from just inside the free-throw line.

After UNLV’s Ike Nwamu missed his dunk in the finals, Douglas proved to be the most consistent dunker of the night and clinched the title with a 360 dunk. Meanwhile, students at Chesterton’s Pub on the University of Mary campus in Bismarck, ND went wild.
