Overview

Saint Scholastica Hall for women is a residence life community for women enrolled at the University of Mary who have the desire to live in community and grow in faith, character, and holiness. The women in this hall support each other in virtuous living through study, prayer, service to others, and community-based activities.

Located on the third floor of Roers Hall, Saint Scholastica features two-bedroom suites with shared bathroom facilities, a community room, and a chapel on the floor. Members participate in weekly community nights, one retreat per semester, regular spiritual direction, and commit to regular reception of the Sacraments.

The women who chose to live in this community, and hence meet eligibility requirements discussed in the “Eligibility Requirements” section, will experience a supportive and virtuous environment that will balance study, prayer, service, and recreation.

Residence Director of Roers Hall

I am honored to be at Mary as the residence life director for Roers Hall. My role at the university is to plan events and programs that cultivate friendships and offer formation for freshmen women on campus. Beyond providing formal opportunities for students to encounter one another and God in new ways, I hope to simply be a light and comfort for the girls as they are away from home for the first time.
