Take Advantage of Every Financial Resource

There are many ways to make your University of Mary education affordable. Our financial aid staff will work closely with you to ensure you take advantage of all available resources to make your Mary degree a reality. 

Here鈥檚 your important first step:

  • Complete the anytime, but the sooner you complete the application, the more aid you could be eligible to receive. The FASFA Application for the year is expected to be released in December.

Then, explore the scholarships, loans, grants, employment, and work-study programs that will make your Mary education an investment for life.

Here are the five types of financial aid available to Mary students:

  • Scholarships. Scholarships are awarded for academic merit and other considerations. Scholarships reduce the amount you will owe and don鈥檛 have to be repaid.

  • Loans. Loans are borrowed money that must be repaid with interest. They are legal obligations. Student loans are administered through the federal government as well as private lenders.

  • Grants. Grants are funds made available to students who demonstrate financial need. Unlike loans, most grants do not need to be repaid as long as the recipient maintains the eligibility outlined in the offer.

  • Employment & Work Study. You may be eligible to participate in the Federal Work-Study program, which provides part-time employment during the academic year. Job opportunities are also available through the university.

  • Military & Veteran Aid. Current service members and veterans, as well as their dependent family members, are eligible for educational benefits through Veterans Affairs (VA).
